Cab binaural tones melt ipod headphones?Hello! I recently added an app on my iPod Touch called Altered State. It puts out binaural tones to induce certain moods like meditation, tranquility, etc. I went to sleep with it on and set the timer for 40 minutes. A few days after that I noticed that the rubber parts right around the speakers on my headphones were a little stretched? Does anyone know if the binaural tones caused this? Thanks!

soonhlimSleeping with headphones on alone is VERY dangerous, u can entangle urself in them and suffocate in ur sleep. Most ppl whether they know it or not toss and turn and move. Most likely, is that laying on one ear and moving around in another and the overall heat in ur ears may cause this. Binuaral tones are just simply tones if not near the frequencies of regular music. They can not due such harm to equipment or the ears. Then again, using headphones for sounds such as music, and binaural tones should be done moderately to keep the ears from going deaf and losing the ability to hear higher frequencies. Some say that naturally, as u age, u lose the ability to hear high frequencies such as mosquito ringtones. However, keeping ur ears in tip-top shape, my 35 year old teacher who was not allowed from his parents to ever own an MP3 of any sort could hear mosquito ringtones and usually, ppl over 18 cant hear it!!!
Will using Binaural Beats to induce lucid dreaming put me in sleep paralysis? Now ive been Using tools like Dream journal, and diffrent methods im going to try binaural beats.

soonhlimThe simple answer: Yes, if you do it properly. The needed steps involved to actively succeed with binaural beats are the same as the Lucid Dreaming technique WILD or Wake-Induced-Lucid-Dream. In order for binaural beats to work effectively, according to various binaural beat instruction, you have to lay still with eyes closed while the beat is playing for a set (usually longer) period of time. This is the same for the WILD technique. As for the binaural beats independent functionality, I can only say that it would add to some relaxation factor and mental stimulation, as well as brainwave conditioning needed to enter the sleep stage associated with sleep paralysis. (REM)I have had success with binaural beats by way of improving dream recall, but never really used it to put me into sleep paralysis, as I (and you) can achieve the same effect naturally, it may just be easier for some people.
I’m really tired but can’t sleep?Last night I fell asleep at 3:00 even though I had been lying in bed since 11:00
The night before I fell asleep at 1:00
Today I felt horrible really
Now its nearly 1:00 am and I’ve been lying in bed since 9:30 I’m worried I will feel really bad tomorrow but I can’t sleep ?!? What should I do ?

soonhlimSometimes if I’m laying in bed for hours trying to sleep I turn on an app I have on my iPod. It’s called “sleep machine” you can get a free version or full version. It gives different sounds at different volumes (rain, wind, waves, crickets, chimes, etc). You can choose to have it play for however long you want before it shuts off. I always set it for 30mins and Im always asleep long before it turns off!To sleep better just relax and switch off, if you can.If you are having trouble switching off at bedtime some light exercise (for example, push ups or sit ups) at bedtime often helps you to relax, unwind and switch off and that often improves your sleep. Strenuous exercise at bedtime is likely to ruin your sleep.Common sleep aids include warm milk, Chamomile tea, 5-HTP, Melatonin and Valerian. You can see further tips in a web search for “how to fall asleep and stay asleep”.

Theirs this thing called Ultimate Relaxation. That makes you soooo relaxed if your really sleepy it’ll take you to sleep. Heres what you do.

1) tense certain parts of your muscles at a time and release: Forehead, Back, Shoulders, Jaw, Legs, Arms, feet etc.
Tense each part (make sure you tense your whole body in the end) for about 1 second than release.

2) once your done that try pushing yourself up with the heels of your feet and shoudlers off the ground than release.

3) lift your right hand up and try to stretch as far as you can, letting all the rest of the tension leave your body, than gently put your arm down.

4) count to 10, breathing in and out in between each breathe so : 1) breathe in,breathe out. (the counting is basically counting ten breathes so you dont have to do it out loud)

by the end of that just let yourself lay in silence. You’ll probably drift a little to sleep, then fall to sleep, i usually think for some reason but thinking about little things makes me fall asleep more.

Thats the end.its better when you have someone saying to do this all to you instead of you thinling it, specifically if they have a really soft voice that that they cn speak this slowly to the way if you havent realized you should do all this while laying down

The Average person usually falls asleep in 7 minutes. But, you have a harder time sleeping, so your obviously not going to sleep in ten minutes. Listen to music, but close your eyes. Get more comfortable. Dont have things around you that will distract you either. Because that will just make you want to stay up more. For listening to music, it does help. If you want to just listen to music without changing it you can make one on Http:// and it will just play songs when you make a playlist. Thats what I do! :) hope this helped.
